Owning, maintaining or altering a Historic or Listed Building involves responsibilities in addition to the normal planning considerations. The Practice has considerable experience in dealing with historic and listed buildings, and building works within conservation areas.

Planning and Design Guidance
We are pleased to be involved with projects to maintain, repair alter or extend Listed Buildings. We can advise on the suitability of the proposed works. We can develop proposals in consultation with our clients and local authority conservation officers, and submit Listed Building officers, and submit Listed Building

Retrospective Assistance
On occasions, we are contacted by clients who have been unaware of the required procedures involved in the approval of work to a listed building, and are facing the possibility of enforcement action for unauthorised changes. We can liaise directly with the local authority and make the necessary applications for retrospective approval, or for the required reinstatement works.
